As performed at Korai Project Space in Nicosia in February 2018
Underpinning the work is the notion of protest –a desire to rupture using force. In running counter to the social contract of politeness the piece questions the permissions ordinarily granted to the female voice, which is often deemed unpalatable in its less passive forms. Using trickster devices allows the artists to occupy the space at the intersection of discourses, perhaps setting the scene for a new emotional landscape with a heightened tolerance for what lies outside.
